A Thorn for Every Heart (often abbreviated to ATFEH) is an American post-hardcore band from Chino Hills, California. History A Thorn for Every Heart was started in early 2003 by Joel Ryan Holt (guitar) and Aaron Peck (drums). The original lineup of Holt, Peck, Kelvin Cruz (lead vocals), Jeff Harber (guitar, keys, backing vocals), Justin Powell (bass), and Joy Welling (violin) independently released their debut EP, ''Silence Is Golden'', in late 2003. The EP gained them internet exposure and created an underground following, leading to talks of a record deal with Interscope. Due to musical differences, Holt (guitar/band co-founder) and ATFEH parted ways, and long-time friend Phil Nguyen joined the band in Holt's place. In support of the EP, ATFEH embarked on their first nationwide tour in 2004, during which Welling (violin) parted ways with the band due to personal differences. Chino Hillsis a city in the Greater Los Angeles area of California. It is located in the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, and is bordered by Los Angeles County to its northwest, Orange County to its south/southwest, and Riverside County to its southeast. Purevolume
PureVolume (formerly Unborn Media) was a website for uploading and streaming of music files, the first independently run of its type. PureVolume was created by Unborn Media, Inc; Mitchell Pavao; Brett Woitunski; and Nate Hudson, all from the University of Massachusetts. PureVolume is a website for the discovery and promotion of new music and emerging artists. The mission was to give artists a new promotion tool. Each artist had a profile that typically contains basic info, updates, photos, shows and music for streaming. Artists had the option of making each of their songs available for free download. Listeners and fans were also able to create profiles to interact with artists and each other, as well as track and share music they liked. The Bamboozle
The Bamboozle was an annual three-day music festival which was held in New Jersey from 2003 to 2012, and was scheduled for a 2023 revival in Atlantic City by its founder. Every year, new bands competed for spots during the two days. The event evolved out of the Skate and Surf Festival. The 2012 event was the final one of its original run, as founder John D'Esposito subsequently left Bamboozle due to creative differences with organizing partners. History Early versions In 2003, The Great Bamboozle - originally known as Skate & Surf - was held from May 30 to June 1 at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey, with headliners Keller Williams, the Roots, and Dark Star Orchestra. A Static Lullaby is an American post-hardcore band that formed in Chino Hills, California, in 2001. History Early years and formation (2001–2002) A Static Lullaby came together after a high school jam session led to the members to quit their existing bands and come together as one. The group began with singer Joe Brown, bassist Phil Pirrone, drummer Brett Dinovo, and guitarists Dan Arnold and Nathan Lindeman. Their first show was a mere two weeks after forming, and it started a buzz about the band that continued to be built upon throughout the local circuit. In September 2001, the band recorded their first home made song called "Withered". They additionally recorded the songs "Love to Hate, Hate to Love", "The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us All", "A Sip of Wine Chased With Cyanide" and "Charred Fields of Snow" for their self-titled demo EP. The Receiving End of Sirens (abbreviated TREOS) is an American rock band from Belchertown, Massachusetts, United States. Formed in 2003, the band broke up in 2008 then briefly reunited in 2010; a 2020 reunion tour was canceled. In December 2024, the band announced a reunion show in Boston for 2025. The band released a previously unavailable B-Side entitled "Weightless Underwater" on February 27, 2025. My American Heart
My American Heart is an American rock band from San Diego, California, formed in 2001. Originally named No Way Out, the band released two studio albums through Warcon Enterprises and toured the world before disbanding in late 2009. They reunited in 2017. History My American Heart gained local fame from many local SoCal venues from which they played. Due to legal troubles concerning their name, the band changed their name from No Way Out to My American Heart to reflect the ethnic and national duality the original members identified with. The band made their first big break winning the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands. Boys Night Out (band)
Boys Night Out is a Canadian emo/post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. History The band formed in 2001 when Connor Lovat-Fraser (lead vocalist, guitar) and Jeff Davis (lead guitar, piano) started collaborating on songs. They were joined by Dave Costa (vocals, bass), Chris Danner (drums), and Rob Pasalic (guitar, vocals) and, that year, independently released the four-song EP ''You Are My Canvas'', which was influenced by fellow Burlington hardcore act Grade. Danner left the band and was replaced on drums by Ben Arseneau. The band signed to One Day Savior Recordings and, in 2002, released the EP '' Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses''. Interest in the band was immediate, and they were signed to New Jersey–based Ferret Records. Their debut album, '' Make Yourself Sick'', was released in 2003.
