''They're Watching'' is a 2016 American found footage horror comedy film directed and written by Jay Lender and Micah Wright. The film stars Brigid Brannagh, David Alpay, Kris Lemche and Dimitri Diatchenko and was released in theaters and On Demand on March 25, 2016. Plot The crew of a popular home-improvement TV show heads to a remote village in Moldova to film a follow-up segment about an American homeowner, Becky, who's been transforming a rundown house into an artist's haven. The crew, consisting of Greg, Alex, and newcomer Sarah, meet up with their producer Kate and a Moldovian businessman named Vladimir. While getting some footage of the town, Greg and Sarah sneak into a funeral and attempt to record it, only to be exposed when Kate calls them. A police officer manages to calm the furious crowd before ordering them to leave. Jay Lender
Jay Lender (born June 14, 1969 in New Haven, Connecticut, United States) is an American television writer, storyboard artist and director. He is a former writer and storyboard director for ''SpongeBob SquarePants''. Previous to his work on ''SpongeBob'', Lender designed and drew backgrounds for Nickelodeon's ''Hey Arnold!''. He is the son of the founder of Lender's Bagels, Murray Lender. Since leaving Nickelodeon, Lender has written scripts for video games with his writing partner Micah Wright, and continues to develop animated series concepts as well as drawing the occasional SpongeBob comic strip for ''Nickelodeon Magazine''. Most recently, the duo worked together on '' Robocalypse'', a real-time strategy game for the Nintendo DS. Lender spent two years studying at the Rhode Island School of Design before transferring to CalArts where he specialized in animation. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992).
