"There's No Stopping Your Heart" is a song written by Michael Bonagura and Craig Karp, and recorded by American country music artist Marie Osmond. It was released in September 1985 as the third single and title track from the album ''There's No Stopping Your Heart''. The song was Osmond's fifth country hit and her second and last number one on the country chart as a solo artist. The single stayed at number one for one week and spent a total of fifteen weeks on the country chart. As a solo artist, "There's No Stopping Your Heart" was her first No. 1 hit since 1973, when she hit the top with a cover of Anita Bryant's "Paper Roses". Olive Marie Osmond (born October 13, 1959) is an American singer, actress, television host, and a member of the show business family the Osmonds. Although she was never part of her family's singing group, she gained success as a country and pop music artist and television variety show cohost in the 1970s and 1980s. "Paper Roses" is a popular song written and composed by Fred Spielman and Janice Torre. It first was a top five hit in 1960 for Anita Bryant. Marie Osmond recorded it in 1973 and took her version to number one on the US country chart. Danny Wayland Seals (February 8, 1948 – March 25, 2009) was an American musician. The younger brother of Seals and Crofts member Jim Seals, he first gained fame as one half of the soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, who charted nine singles between 1976 and 1980, including the No. 2 Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 hit "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight". It was originally released in 1985 and later reissued in 1990. Background Osmond had taken nearly seven years off from recording before releasing ''There's No Stopping Your Heart.'' Osmond's previous albums were released when she was a teenager, however this became her first album to be released as an adult. Four singles were released, including two number 1 hits on the billboard hot country songs chart.
