Theodorus van der Croon (1668-1739) served as the ninth Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands#Old Catholic Archbishops of Utrecht, Archbishop of Utrecht from 1734 to 1739. The Old Catholic Archdiocese of Utrecht is an archdiocese within the Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands which split from the Archdiocese of Utrecht officially in 1723 because of the illicit consecration of Cornelius van Steenoven to the episcopate. Cornelius Johannes Barchman Wuytiers (died 13 May 1733 at Rhynwyck, Netherlands) served as the Old Catholic Archbishop of Utrecht from 1725 to 1733. Early life and schooling Barchman Wuytiers was born into a noble family. He was educated at the Oratorian schools in Huissen, Louvain and Paris. According to Bellegarde, years before Barchman Wuytiers went to Paris, Pashasius Quesnel had prophesied that Barchman Wuytiers would one day be Archbishop of Utrecht. Consecration as Archbishop of Utrecht Upon the death of Archbishop Cornelius van Steenoven on 3 April 1725, Barchmann Wuytiers was unanimously elected by the Chapter of Utrecht on 15 May 1725 to fill the vacant see. Petrus Johannes Meindaerts
Petrus Johannes Meindaerts (Groningen, 7 November 1684 — 31 October 1767) served as the tenth Old Catholic Church of the Netherlands#Old Catholic Archbishops of Utrecht, Archbishop of Utrecht from 1739 to 1767. After the death of his consecrator, Bishop Dominique Marie Varlet, Meindaerts consecrated other bishops, such that all later Old Catholic bishops derive their apostolic succession from him. Early Ministry Meindaerts was ordained to the priesthood in Ireland by Roman Catholic Bishop Luke Fagan of Meath, Ireland. According to C.B. Moss, Meindaerts arrived in Ireland in the late summer of 1716 and was arrested on suspicion of being a Jacobite spy, avoiding imprisonment by convincing an officer familiar with Louvain, Belgium, Louvain that he was a student at the university there. Dominique-Marie Varlet (15 March 1678 in Paris – 14 May 1742 in Rijswijk) was a French prelate and missionary of the Catholic Church who served as vicar general of the Diocese of Quebec. Later, as the Roman Catholic Bishop of Babylon, he caused a schism within the Roman Catholic Church by consecrating four men successively as Archbishop of Utrecht. Petrus Codde
Pieter Codde also known as Petrus Codde (27 November 1648, in Amsterdam – 18 December 1710, in Utrecht) was apostolic vicar of the Catholic Church's Vicariate Apostolic of Batavia, also known as the Dutch Mission, from 1688 to 1702. He served as the Old Catholic Archbishop of Utrecht from 1688 to 1710. Life Codde studied in Leuven, taught by the Oratorians, and was ordained priest in 1672. In 1688 he was named Vicar Apostolic for the nation, although the Jesuits suspected and accused him of Jansenist sympathies. He had to justify himself to Rome against these accusations in 1694 and, after being charged with them a second time, in 1697.
