Theatre in the Park is a community theatre located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The theatre's Executive Director is Ira David Wood III, father of actress Evan Rachel Wood. Ira David Wood III is known for his musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' ''A Christmas Carol'', in which he has played Ebenezer Scrooge for all but one of its yearly productions since 1974. Ira David Wood III (born November 19, 1947) is an American actor, author, singer, theater director and playwright. He is the Executive Director of Theatre in the Park, a community theatre company in Raleigh, North Carolina. Wood is the father of actress Evan Rachel Wood. Ebenezer Scrooge () is the protagonist of Charles Dickens's 1843 novella ''A Christmas Carol''. At the beginning of the novella, Scrooge is a cold-hearted miser who despises Christmas. Pullen Park is a public park immediately west of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.
