Weaver Levy was a Chinese American character actor who had a long career in Hollywood that began in the 1940s and continued through the early 1980s. He was best known for his main role in the TV series '' Adventures in Paradise''. Biography Weaver was born in Los Angeles, California, to Charles Lee and Gladys Wong. He and his siblings were given the last name Levy, which was apparently an Anglicization of their father's given surname. He reported that he often had trouble cashing checks because people did not believe his last name could be Levy. Robert Ivers, also known as Bob Ivers, (December 11, 1934 – February 13, 2003) was an American actor who appeared in films and television in the 1950s and 1960s. Background Ivers was born in Seattle, Washington. He attended Tucson High School between 1950 and 1953. He was then was offered scholarships to the Pasadena Playhouse and the University of Arizona. After short time at Pasadena, where the curriculum wouldn't allow him to appear on stage until his second year, he transferred to the University of Arizona where he began appearing in roles during his first year.
