The Worm (HMLTD Album)
The Worm is the second studio by British art-rock band HMLTD. It was released on 7 April 2023 on Lucky Number Music. It is a rock opera style concept album about a worm swallowing England. Three singles were released in the weeks ahead of the album's release: "Wyrmlands", "The End of Now" and "The Worm". They all have music videos directed by front man Henry Spychalski. Concept The Worm is a loose concept album set in an anachronistic version of Medieval England. Its populace is in peril, because the titular worm is bound to swallow them. According to Spychalski, the first single "Wyrmlands" "tells the story of a guerrilla resistance movement against the Worm. The lyrics recount their tales of subversion and subterfuge: counter-offensives, tortured confessions and haunting vignettes of the strange new land in which they find themselves." HMLTD
HMLTD are a British art punk band from London, formed in 2015. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Henry Spychalski, guitarist Duc Peterman, bassist Nico Mohnblatt, drummer Achilleas Sarantaris and keyboardist Seth Evans. Background HMLTD formed in London as Happy Meal Ltd. in early 2015. Singer Henry Chisholm goes under the pseudonym 'Henry Spychalski', and was born and raised in Torquay before moving to London. Spychalski met Duc, who had played in a band with Nico in Paris, at a bar in London which helped foster a friendship and the formation of the band. James originates from Ipswich and shared a house in Elephant and Castle with friends including Henry. The Last Dinner Party
The Last Dinner Party are a British indie rock band from London, formed in 2021. The band consists of Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (vocals, guitar), Emily Roberts (lead guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass), and Aurora Nishevci (keyboards, vocals). They have no permanent drummer, and are currently joined during live performances by Casper Miles. Gianluca Buccellati (born December 21, 1990), also known as Luca and Bien et Toi, is a Grammy-nominated and Mercury Prize winning American musician, record producer, songwriter, mixing engineer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist.
