Duke Worne
Howard "Duke" Worne (December 14, 1888 – October 13, 1933) was an American film director, director and actor of the silent film, silent era. He directed more than 70 films between 1919 and 1931. He also appeared in 27 films between 1914 and 1928. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and died in Los Angeles, California. In 1930, Worne married silent film actress Virginia Brown Faire, to whom he remained married until his death three years later in 1933. Sammy Blum (May 25, 1889 – June 1, 1945) was an American character actor whose career spanned both the silent and talking film eras. Born in New York City, over the almost 30 years he was in the film industry, he would appear in almost 50 films, mostly in small or bit parts. He continued working right up until his death, his final appearance being in 1946's ''Deadline at Dawn''. He died on June 1, 1945, prior to the completion of filming, and the film was released the following March. Miss DuPont (born Patricia Hannon; April 28, 1894 – February 6, 1973) was an American film actress and fashion designer. Biography Sometimes credited as Patty DuPont, Miss DuPont was born as Patricia Hannon in Frankfort, Kentucky, though sources sometimes state her place of birth as Frankfort, Indiana. She appeared as a wealthy and naive American woman seduced by Erich von Stroheim's odious count in '' Foolish Wives'' (1922). Although Stroheim is credited with discovering her, she had already made several films beginning in 1919 with ''The Day She Paid''. She was the second wife of Sylvanus Stokes. They met while he was traveling in Los Angeles shortly after his 1926 divorce from his first wife, Margaret Fahnestock Stokes, and were married in January, 1928.
