''The Weasel's Tale'' ( es, El cuento de las comadrejas, links=no) is a 2019 Argentine-Spanish black comedy film directed by Juan José Campanella starring Graciela Borges, Oscar Martínez, Luis Brandoni and Marcos Mundstock alongside Clara Lago and Nicolás Francella. It is a remake of 1976 film '' Yesterday's Guys Used No Arsenic''. Plot The plot follows four aged people living in an old mansion (Mara, Pedro and Martín and Norberto), all of them professionally related to the showbiz (respectively lead actress, bit-part actor, screenwriter and director) and how they deal with the arrival of the young Bárbara and Francisco, who are real estate developers wanting to purchase the plot. Juan José Campanella
Juan José Campanella (born 19 July 1959) is an Argentine television and film director, writer and producer. He achieved worldwide attention with the release of ''The Secret in Their Eyes'' (2009), for which he was awarded the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Early life Campanella was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started studying engineering, but dropped out in 1980 after four years at university. He would later remark that the decisive factor for this decision was watching '' All That Jazz'' on the very day he was going to apply for a fifth year. His debut as director was in 1979, with the short '' Prioridad nacional''. Campanella traveled to the United States and entered the Tisch School of the Arts. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''. In the 1970s the magazine was part of the Nadal Group. New categories were added over time to the award which were renamed Fotogramas de Plata and in 2012 they absorbed the TP de Oro awards. ''El Tribuno'' is an Argentine newspaper and media group from Salta Province. Widely criticized for its pro- Peronist tilt, it is the only newspaper in Salta Province, and also publishes a Jujuy Province edition.
