"The Way I Loved You" is a song by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift from her second studio album, ''Fearless'' (2008). She wrote the song with John Rich and served as a producer with Nathan Chapman. Inspired by an encounter with a guy who seemed ideal to date with, it is about the rumination for an ex-lover despite being in a stable relationship.
