''The Voice – Magyarország hangja'' (''"Voice of Hungary"'' in English) is a Hungary, Hungarian reality competition aimed to find new singing talent. Based on the reality singing competition ''The Voice of Holland'', it is part of The Voice (franchise), an international series created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. The first season was broadcast on TV2 (Hungary), TV2 from October 12, 2012 to January 25, 2013, as its first HD-quality show. The Hungarian version of the show follows the original Dutch ''The Voice of Holland'' set of rules used by the show program. Olivér Berkes
Olivér Berkes (born 13 August 1992, Nuremberg, Germany) is a Hungarian singer-songwriter. Born in Germany, at the age of 5, he moved with his family to Hungary and is currently an International Business School student. While playing competitive tennis for a long time, his music career was launched in 2012 by competing in the Hungarian version of The Voice, ''The Voice – Magyarország hangja'', where, as a member of Caramel's team, he reached the semi-finals. Dénes Pál (born 19 March 1991, Miskolc) is a Hungarian singer and artist, most notable for winning the first season of the Hungarian version of The Voice, ''The Voice – Magyarország hangja''. Personal life and career Dénes Pál was born on 19 March 1991, in the town of Miskolc. His mother is a primary school teacher, whom he attended the school for 4 years. ''Megasztár - Voice of the Year'' was a Hungarian a music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show ''Pop Idol'' (and sometimes even referred to as ''Hungarian Idol''), TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of ''The Voice''. The Hungarian edition of ''The Voice'' premiered in fall 2012; it will be the rival show to ''X-Faktor''. ''The Voice of Holland'', also known as ''TVOH'', is a Dutch reality TV singing competition, that became a near global TV format franchise, created by media tycoon John de Mol and musician Roel van Velzen, in the Netherlands airing on RTL 4. For the first nine seasons, The Voice of Holland was hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk. Starting from the tenth season (2019–2020), Wendy van Dijk was replaced by Chantal Janzen. RTL (formerly: RTL Klub) is a Hungarian free-to-air television channel owned by RTL Group. The channel began broadcasting three days after its main rival TV2, one of Hungary's first commercial TV channels.
