The Voice Of Ireland (series 3)
''The Voice of Ireland'' is an Republic of Ireland, Irish Reality television, reality talent show. The third series began airing on 5 January 2014 on RTÉ One. Kathryn Thomas presents the main show, while Eoghan McDermott co-presents. Niall Breslin, Bressie, Kian Egan and Jamelia returned as coaches while Dolores O'Riordan replaced Sharon Corr who left after the second series. The first episode aired on 5 January. After the show Jamelia and Dolores quit and were replaced by Una Foden/Healy and Rachel Stevens The Blind auditions took place on 18, 19 and 20 October at The Helix. An addition this season is that RTÉ 2fm have selected 5 wildcards to audition. Cavan singer and guitarist Brendan McCahey was crowned the 2014 The Voice of Ireland, Voice of Ireland on 28 April 2014. He was victorious with his version and now single You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover. Niall Breslin
Niall Breslin (born 22 October 1980), known as Bressie, is an Irish musician, former Westmeath GAA, Westmeath Gaelic footballer and Leinster Rugby player. Breslin found success as the lead singer, guitarist, songwriter with pop band The Blizzards, as a co-writer and producer with XIX Entertainment and as a solo artist. He was the winning coach on the first, third and fifth seasons of ''The Voice of Ireland''. "Express Yourself" is a song by English musician Labrinth. Written by Labrinth and Charles Wright, it was released as the fourth single from his debut studio album, ''Electronic Earth'' on 7 May 2012. It interpolates " Express Yourself" by Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, which was the same song sampled by N.W.A. in their 1988 song of the same name, and the famous drum break from James Brown's "Funky Drummer". Labrinth premiered the song live during the results show of the fourth live-semi final of the sixth series of ''Britain's Got Talent'', on 9 May 2012. "Piece of My Heart" is a romantic soul love song written by Jerry Ragovoy and Bert Berns, originally recorded by Erma Franklin in 1967. "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" is a song written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong for Motown Records in 1966. The first recording of the song to be released was produced by Whitfield for Gladys Knight & the Pips and released as a single in September 1967. It went to number one on the ''Billboard'' R&B Singles chart and number two on the ''Billboard'' Pop Singles chart and shortly became the biggest selling Motown single up to that time.
