The Voice Senior (German TV Series)
''The Voice Senior'' was a German reality talent show created by John de Mol, based on the concept ''The Voice of Germany''. However, participation is only open for candidates more than 60 years old. It began airing on December 23, 2018 on Sat.1, but after the second season the producers and the tv channel cancelled the show, due to low ratings. There were four different stages to the show: producers' auditions, blind auditions, sing-offs, and finale. There have been two winners: Dan Lucas (64) and Monika Smets (68). The show was originally presented by current hosts of ''The Voice of Germany'', Lena Gercke and Thore Schölermann. The Voice Kids (German TV Series)
''The Voice Kids'' is a German reality talent show created by John de Mol and a junior version of ''The Voice of Germany''. Based on the original '' The Voice Kids of Holland'', the show was developed for children between the ages of 7 and 15. It began airing on Sat.1 on April 5, 2013. There are five different stages to the show: producers' auditions, blind auditions, battle rounds, sing-offs, and final. There have been ten winners to date: Michèle Bircher (12), Danyiom Mesmer (14), Noah-Levi Korth (13), Lukas Janisch (13), Sofie Thomas (11), Anisa Celik (10), Mimi & Josefin (13 & 15), Lisa-Marie Ramm (15), Egon Werler (15), and Georgia Balke (11). The second season of the German talent show '' The Voice Senior'' premiered on November 24, 2019 on Sat.1. The coaches were the duo Alec Völkel and Sascha Vollmer of the band The BossHoss, the singer and actress Yvonne Catterfeld, the singer Sasha Schmitz all returning for their second season and with the new coach singer Michael Patrick Kelly, replacing Mark Forster. The Voice Senior (Netherlands TV Series)
The Voice Senior is a Dutch talent-search television program produced by Talpa Productions which is broadcast on RTL 4. The show is based on the concept of ''The Voice of Holland'' and ''The Voice Kids'', both of which were also created by John de Mol. However, participants must be older than sixty. Format The show consists of four different phases: production audition, Blind Audition, The Knockouts and the Live Finale. The production auditions are not filmed, here only the good singers are selected by the program to go to the Blind Auditions. ''The Voice'' is an international reality television singing competition franchise. It is based on the reality singing competition ''The Voice of Holland'', which was originally created by Dutch producer John de Mol and Dutch singer Roel van Velzen. It has become a rival to the '' Idols'' franchise, '' The Four'', '' Rising Star'' and ''The X Factor''. Up until 2020, the franchise was owned by Talpa Network. The current owner is ITV Studios. Originated in the Netherlands, many other countries adapted the format and began airing their own versions starting in 2010.
