The View From The Bottom
''The View from the Bottom'' is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Lit. It was released on June 19, 2012, by Megaforce Records. It was the band's first new album in eight years, after the release of the '' Lit'' album in 2004 and the death of their drummer Allen Shellenberger in 2009. The album is dedicated to Shellenberger's memory. In addition to being dedicated to Shellenberger, the album also features a track called "Here’s to Us", which is a tribute to him. It is the first album with the rhythm guitarist Ryan Gillmor and the only one with Nathan Walker on drums. Background After the band released their fourth album, ''Lit'' in 2004, the band was hit with a number of hardships. A. Jay and Jeremy Popoff's stepfather died in a motorcycle crash that also severely injured their mother. Lit is an American rock band formed in 1988 in Orange County, California. They have released seven studio albums, but are best known for their 1999 album '' A Place in the Sun'', which featured the hit single " My Own Worst Enemy". " Zip-Lock" and " Miserable" were also successful, leading to a platinum certification for ''A Place in the Sun''. Gin Blossoms is an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona, Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, ''New Miserable Experience'', and the first single released from that album, "Hey Jealousy". Kay Hanley is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known as the vocalist for the alternative rock band Letters to Cleo. Life and career Hanley grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts across the street from the Wahlberg family. She attended school at St. Gregory's and Latin Academy.
