''The View From Here'' is American singer Bob Bennett's seventh album, and is the third release in Signpost Music's "Livingroom Series" releases. Bob dedicated this release to his mother, Betty Jane Bennett. As originally envisioned, the CD's release was to have included a CD booklet insert witnotes from Bob about each song however, cost constraints prevented this from occurring. Bob Bennett (singer-songwriter)
Bob Bennett (born March 21, 1955) is an American contemporary Christian music singer, guitarist and songwriter from Downey, California. Bennett is known for his distinctive baritone voice, Christian lyrics and folk-inspired guitar playing. Career Bennett was born in Downey, California. He picked up his first guitar at age nine and formed a rock 'n' roll band in high school. In the late seventies he converted to Christianity and his songwriting began to reflect his newfound faith. His career was launched with the release of his 1979 folk-style debut recording ''First Things First''. Three years later, ''Matters of the Heart'', a recording ''CCM Magazine'' selected as 1982's "Album of the Year", and later ranked it 25th on its list of contemporary Christian albums of all time. Soon after the release of his next recording, ''Non-Fiction'', he served as opening act on Amy Grant's Unguarded tour. Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Steve Bell (musician)
Steve Bell, C.M., O.M., (born November 17, 1960) is a Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is among the best-known Christian musicians in Canada and is an accomplished songwriter and record producer. Before embarking on his solo career he was a long-time member of the group Elias, Schritt and Bell. In 1989, Bell founded the independent recording label Signpost Music along with Dave Zeglinski, long-time friend and co-producer. His first solo album, ''Comfort My People'', was released on Signpost that same year. Bell now has twenty albums to his credit. Among his many awards are two Junos, several GMA Canada Covenant Awards and the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Musical career Steve Bell has been performing music since childhood. ''Small Graces'' is Bob Bennett's sixth release. Phil Naish recorded the tracks on ''Small Graces'' by having Bob come into the studio and record each track solo (only Bob's guitar & his vocals), along with a click track; to obtain Bob's most natural performance. Then the other players were brought in to play around that initial solo track. ''Small Graces'' was Phil Naish's mandola debut. Mark Heard
John Mark Heard III (December 16, 1951 – August 16, 1992) was an American record producer, folk rock singer and songwriter from Macon, Georgia. Heard released sixteen albums, and produced or performed with many artists, including: Sam Phillips (aka Leslie Phillips), Pierce Pettis, Phil Keaggy, Vigilantes of Love, Peter Buck of R.E.M. (who co-produced VOL's album ''Killing Floor'' with Heard), The Choir, Randy Stonehill and Michael Been of The Call.
