The Twilight Zone (radio Series)
''The Twilight Zone'' is a nationally syndicated radio drama series featuring radio play adaptations of the classic television series ''The Twilight Zone'' first produced for the British station BBC Radio 4 Extra in October 2002 with the final show released in 2012 for 176 episodes in all. Many of the stories are based on Rod Serling's scripts from the original '' Twilight Zone'' series, and are slightly expanded and updated to reflect contemporary technology and trends (e.g., the mention of "cell phones" and "CD-ROMs" which, of course, were not around when the television show aired in the 1960s) and the lack of a visual component. In addition to adapting all of the original episodes aired on the 1959-1964 TV series, the radio series has also adapted some ''Twilight Zone'' TV scripts which were never produced, scripts from other Serling TV productions, and new stories written especially for the radio series. Tales Of The Texas Rangers
''Tales of the Texas Rangers'' is a 20th century Western old-time radio and television police procedural drama which originally aired on NBC Radio from 1950 to 1952 and later on CBS Television from 1955 to 1958. Film star Joel McCrea voiced the radio version as the fictitious Texas Ranger Jace Pearson, who uses the latest scientific techniques to identify criminals. His faithful horse, Charcoal (or "Charky"), helps Pearson to track down the culprits. The radio shows, some of which are available on the Internet, are reenactments of actual Texas Ranger cases. "The Thirty Fathom Grave" is episode 104 of the American television anthology series ''The Twilight Zone''. It originally aired on January 10, 1963 on CBS. In this naval-themed episode, the crew of a Navy destroyer hear a mysterious rhythmic noise coming from a sunken submarine. Opening narration Plot In April 1963, a U.S. Navy destroyer is on a routine patrol off Guadalcanal when sonar picks up a sound beneath the waves; the crew believe that it sounds like something banging on metal.
