''The Things We Can't Stop'' is the sixth album by American rock band Cold. It was released on September 13, 2019 in the US through Napalm Records. The album was produced by Jeremy Parker, who produced the previous album. This is Cold's first album since 2011's ''Superfiction''. This is Cold's only album to include guitarist Nick Coyle and first to feature bassist Lindsay Manfredi and their first album not to include bass player Jeremy Marshall and the only album to not feature drummer Sam McCandless. Aaron Fulton was credited as the drummer. The first single "Shine" was released on June 27, 2019, along with an accompanying lyric video on the same date. Cold (band)
Cold is an American rock band, from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1986 by lead singer and rhythm guitarist Scooter Ward, drummer Sam McCandless, bassist Jeremy Marshall and lead guitarist Matt Loughran. The band has gone through numerous lineup changes during its existence, with Ward being the band’s only constant member. After signing to Flip Records/A&M Records, Cold released their debut album ''Cold'' (1998), which sold poorly due to the closure of A&M shortly after its release, resulting in the band moving to Geffen Records. Sam McCandless
Samuel Alan McCandless (born January 28, 1971) is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and artist who is best known as a founding member of the American rock band Cold and the psychedelic blues band Carny. With McCandless, Cold has released five albums of which two have been RIAA Certified Gold and one RIAA Certified Platinum soundtrack album for A Walk to Remember. He left the band in 2015, leaving vocalist Scooter Ward as the only original member. However, he later rejoined the band full-time in 2019, but left in 2021, when Tony Kruszka (of Lifer and University Drive) stepped in. Cold is the presence of low temperature, especially in the atmosphere. In common usage, cold is often a subjective perception. A lower bound to temperature is absolute zero, defined as 0.00K on the Kelvin scale, an absolute thermodynamic temperature scale. Scooter Ward
Scooter Ward (born Ronald Ward Jr. on May 7, 1970) is an American musician who is best known as a founding member and lead singer of the rock band Cold. He has also performed occasional guitar duties both in the studio and live. Ward has been ranked in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by ''Hit Parader'' (number 61). Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish–Scottish Rock music, rock band formed in 1994 in Dundee, Scotland. "Run" is a song by Scottish-Northern Irish alternative rock band Snow Patrol from their third studio album, ''Final Straw'' (2003). It was released in the United Kingdom on 26 February 2004 as the second single from the album. The song was conceived in 2000 by frontman Gary Lightbody after an accident he had during a bender.
