A tattoo is a form of body modification made by inserting tattoo ink, dyes, and/or pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin to form a design. Tattoo (Big Mother Thruster Song)
Mercy Drive is an American hard rock band originally based out of Central Florida, best known for writing and performing entrance themes for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestlers, most notably Maven Huffman ("Tattoo") and Randy Orton ("Burn In My Light"). History Mercy Drive originates from the band Big Mother Thruster, founded by Corey Lane and Josh Lyons. Jimmy McGlothin joined the band after meeting Corey in a mosh pit during a Hard Rock Live show in the summer of 2000. Big Mother Thruster was a moderate success. Their momentum increased when they played the Florida circuit. They also gained recognition through supporting other acts including Drowning Pool, Adema and Staind. A military tattoo is a performance of music or display of armed forces in general. The term comes from the early 17th-century Dutch phrase ''doe den tap toe'' ("turn off the tap"), a signal sounded by drummers or trumpeters to instruct innkeepers near military garrisons to stop serving beer and for soldiers to return to their barracks and is unrelated to the Tahitian origins of an ink tattoo. The tattoo was originally a form of military music but the practice has evolved into more elaborate shows involving theatrics and musical performances. History Although Ian was outed as a lesbian in 1976 by the ''Village Voice'', her sexuality was largely ignored until the release of ''Breaking Silence'' when Ian herself brought it to the forefront because of her concern with suicide rates among gay and lesbian teenagers. In the preceding decade, Ian met Pat Snyder and, after significant financial and health setbacks, they purchased a house together by 1991. They took on a second mortgage to fund the album, as major record labels were no longer interested in Ian's work.
