The album release was supported by a nationwide tour with UK act The Wombats. Cheerleader is an American indie pop band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Formed in 2012, the band signed in 2013 to Bright Antenna Records and have so far released a 7" single, "Perfect Vision"/"Waiting Waiting," in the United Kingdom, the ''On Your Side'' EP in the United States, an LP, ''The Sunshine of Your Youth'', released May 19, 2015, and a single, "Bang, Bang," in the United States, on May 30, 2019. EastWest Studios (formerly known as Western Studio, a component of United Western Recorders and later Ocean Way Recording) is a recording studio complex located at 6000 West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. Nu Gaze
Nu gaze (sometimes called newgaze) refers to a form of alternative rock that originated in the 2000s that is directly influenced by the primarily British shoegazing, shoegaze scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s. A renewed interest in shoegaze occurred in the early 2000s when bands such as Maps (band), Maps, My Vitriol, Silversun Pickups, and The Radio Dept. first emerged across both sides of the Atlantic. Mark Needham is an American music engineer, mixer and producer. He has worked with many prominent names in music, including: Blue October, Newsboys, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Chris Isaak, John Hiatt, Michelle Branch, P!nk, O.A.R., Neon Trees, Shakira, Pete Yorn, Bloc Party, Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Starbenders, and others.
