The Stranger (1995 Film)
''The Stranger'' is a 1995 American martial arts action film directed by Fritz Kiersch and starring former professional kickboxing champion Kathy Long. The film was released directly to home video in 1995. Plot For years, the tiny desert town of Lakeview, Arizona has been ruled by a vicious outlaw biker gang led by a man known as Angel. The residents have been terrified into submission, and the local Sheriff Gordon Cole hasn't been the same since the gang rape and murder of his fiancée Bridget for trying to bring evidence of their crimes to the FBI. Tormented by grief and alcoholism, he no longer has the will to stand against them. One day, a mysterious young woman dressed in black leather rides into town on a motorcycle and promptly starts killing members of Angel's gang. Fritz Kiersch
George Keith "Fritz" Kiersch (born July 23, 1951, in Alpine, Texas) is an American film director, writer and producer. He is perhaps best known for directing the horror film '' Children of the Corn'' and the drama ''Tuff Turf''. On July 9, 2021, Fritz was a special guest on the season one finale of ''The Ghost of Hollywood'' podcast. During the interview, he discussed his work on ''Children of the Corn'' and ''Tuff Turf''. He also talked about his production company, Kirby/Kiersch Film Group, which he founded with Terrence Kirby in 1981. Paul Hampton
Paul Hampton (born August 20, 1937) is an American actor, singer, lyricist and writer. He is listed as one of one hundred major architects of American rock and roll in the British rock journal "Footsoldiers and Kings." While he was a sophomore at Dartmouth College, he was signed to Columbia Records and Columbia Pictures at the same time to write music with Hal David and Burt Bacharach. In 1960, with Bacharach he co-composed and performed the strange death disc "Two Hour Honeymoon" (Dot Records). After this initial outing he co-wrote hits for Don Gibson ("Sea of Heartbreak"), Gene Pitney ("Donna Means Heartbreak"), Johnny Tillotson ("I Rise, I Fall") and hits for overseas artists ("Angry at the Old Oak Tree.") Coaldale, Nevada
Coaldale is a former mining town and true ghost town in Esmeralda County, Nevada, located at the junction of U.S. Route 6 and U.S. Route 95 about west of Tonopah. History Coal was discovered near Coaldale in 1894 by William Groszenger who sold 150 tons to the Columbus Marsh Borax works. In 1911, the Darms Mine and the Nevada Coal and Fuel Co. mines were in operation. Coal was found 4 miles SSE of Coaldale in the north end of the Silver Peak Range. In the early 1900s, there was renewed interest in the coal, when Dr. Frances Williams of Goldfield, Nevada personally restaked claims. At the time, Groezenger retained the majority of the claims. In November, 1917, the Darms Mining Company asked the Nevada Railroads Commission to secure a rate of $3/ton to deliver coal from Coaldale to Reno. Chris Pedersen (actor)
Chris Pedersen (born May 22, 1963) is an American musician, actor, and NASCAR racer. Pedersen was born in San Francisco and grew up in Southern California. He was the lead guitarist and wrote original material with the punk rock band The Dumps in Santa Barbara, CA 1980–81. In 1981 he briefly played guitar for the punk rock band SIN 34. He was the lead singer / guitarist in the band The Patriots when he went into acting. Pedersen was never formally trained as an actor. He was approached by director Penelope Spheeris at a park in Burbank where the band T.S.O.L. was playing. According to Pedersen, who was unemployed at the time, "I was thinking 'yeah, right' and didn't pay any attention to her until she said it paid $100 a day, which at the time was a lot of money. Andre Rosey Brown (February 7, 1956 – July 18, 2006) was an American film and television actor, police officer and football coach. Life and career Brown was born in Rockford, Illinois. Before becoming an actor, he was a police officer for the Inglewood Police Department. Randy Vasquez (born October 16, 1961) is an American actor and director. Early life Vasquez was born in Escondido, California. He attended Escondido High School and is a cousin of actor and director James Vasquez, who also grew up in Escondido. His father, a school teacher and accountant, is of Mexican ancestry and his mother was a coal miner's daughter, originally from West Virginia. Vasquez's parents divorced in 1966 and he elected to live with his father in Escondido. He initially attended the University of California, Los Angeles before dropping out in 1979 to become an actor.
