The Spy With My Face
''The Spy with My Face'' is a 1965 spy-fi spy film based on ''The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'' television series. Robert Vaughn and David McCallum reprised their roles as secret agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin respectively. THRUSH tries to steal a super weapon by substituting a double for Solo. The film was directed by John Newland. It is the second U.N.C.L.E. film, consisting of the November 1964 TV episode "The Double Affair" and additional footage. Directed by John Newland, the film also was released to theaters in the United States in 1966 as a double feature with '' To Trap a Spy''. "Alpine" sequences were filmed at the Griffith Park Observatory in California. John Newland
John Newland (November 23, 1917 – January 10, 2000) was an American director, actor, television producer, and screenwriter. Early life and career Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Newland began his career in vaudeville while still in his teens. After moving to New York City to study acting, he served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. After the war, he signed with Warner Bros. but was limited to playing bit parts. By the early 1950s, Newland began to focus solely on television roles, appearing in several episodes of '' Studio One'', ''The Philco Television Playhouse'', ''Tales of Tomorrow'', '' Kraft Television Theatre'', '' Robert Montgomery Presents'' and ''Schlitz Playhouse of Stars''. Donald Hugh Harron, (September 19, 1924 – January 17, 2015) was a Canadian comedian, actor, director, journalist, author, playwright, and composer. Alexander Waverly is a fictional character from the 1960s television show ''The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,''its spin-off series '' The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.'' and the 2015 film version. The original series was remarkable for pairing an American Napoleon Solo and a Russian Illya Kuryakin as two spies who work together for an international espionage organization at the height of the Cold War.
