Sculptured is an American experimental and progressive metal band, mixing melodic and atonal segments. Biography Following the dissolution of his previous band, guitarist Don Anderson began Sculptured as mostly a one-man project in 1996. With the help of John Schlegel (drums) and Brian Yager (clean vocals), Sculptured recorded their first and only demo ''Fulfillment in Tragedy'' (1996). The demo secured them a deal with Poland's Mad Lion Records for their debut album ''The Spear of the Lily is Aureoled'' (1998). The debut was eventually licensed to the brand new The End Records for North America and was the 4th release by the record label. The debut combined the demo recordings with four new songs that were recorded at the same studio (Soundtracks) with the same engineer (Ronn Chick). During this same time the band recorded a cover of Iron Maiden's "Iron Maiden" for an Iron Maiden tribute album that also doubled as an American metal complication titled ''Maiden America ... Andy Winter is a Norwegian keyboardist that is a founding member of the Norwegian bands Winds (band), Winds and Age of Silence and is part of the American bands Sculptured and formerly Subterranean Masquerade. David Murray (drummer)
Estradasphere was an American experimental band that originated in Santa Cruz, California, during the late 1990s. The band, which in its last incarnation was based in Seattle, consisted of six multi-instrumentalists from a variety of musical backgrounds trained in disciplines ranging from classical music and jazz to heavy metal. In November 2007, members of Estradasphere started touring with Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls, as well as helping to produce her debut solo album ''Who Killed Amanda Palmer''. The band is on a "''permanent hiatus''" since 2010.
