Country (also called country and western) is a genre of popular music that originated in the Southern and Southwestern United States in the early 1920s. History Founded in 1978, Rhino was originally a novelty and reissue label during the 1970s and 1980s. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000.
