Walker (1849–1889) and Charlisa (De Ganahl) Walker (1855–1934). Stage actress Walker made her stage debut as a teen in 1893. Holbrook Blinn
Holbrook Blinn was an American stage and film actor. Early years Blinn was the son of Civil War veteran Col. Charles Blinn and actress Nellie Holbrook-Blinn. He was born in San Francisco and attended Stanford University before he began a career in acting. Biography Blinn debuted on stage as an adult early in the 1890s with a traveling company in the western United States. By 1892 he had moved to the East, acting for two seasons in ''The New South''. Following that experience, he headed the first dramatic troupe to tour in Alaska. Blinn had appeared on the legitimate stage at age 6, in ''The Streets of London'', and played throughout the United States and in London. He appeared in silent films, and was the director of popular one-act plays at New York's Princess Theatre. He also was one of the founders of that theatre. Shirley Mason (born Leonie Flugrath, June 6, 1901 РJuly 27, 1979) was an American actress of the silent era. Biography Mason was born in 1901 in Brooklyn, New York, to Emil and Mary (n̩e Dubois) Flugrath. She and her two sisters Edna and Virginia became actresses at the insistence of their mother, who had first enrolled them in dance classes at a very young age. The sisters spent much of their childhood touring with companies at Coney Island, Elks Clubs and other venues. Mason, and her sister Virginia (changed professionally to Viola Dana), made their film debuts at the ages of 10 and 13, respectively, in the film ''A Christmas Carol'' (1910). Mason's next film was 1911's ''The Threshold of Life'' (1911). As a child actress, Mason was not in high demand. It was not until 1915 that she played her role in '' Vanity Fair''.
