The Beatles' Second Album
''The Beatles' Second Album'' is the second Capitol Records album by the English rock band the Beatles, and their third album released in the United States including ''Introducing... The Beatles'', which was issued three months earlier by Vee-Jay Records. Following its release in April 1964, ''The Beatles' Second Album'' replaced ''Meet the Beatles!'' at number 1 on the ''Billboard'' Top LPs chart in the US. The album was compiled mostly from leftover tracks from the UK album ''With the Beatles'' and ''Long Tall Sally (EP), Long Tall Sally'' EP, which are predominantly rock and roll and rhythm and blues, R&B covers, and rounded out with several Lennon-McCartney-penned non-album b-sides and the hit single "She Loves You". Among critics, it is considered the band's purest rock and roll album and praised for its soulful takes on both contemporary African-American music, black music hits and original material. In 2004 ''The Beatles' Second Album'' was issued for the first time on comp ...

Martin Carthy
Martin Carthy MBE (born 21 May 1941) is an English folk singer and guitarist who has remained one of the most influential figures in British traditional music, inspiring contemporaries such as Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, and later artists such as Richard Thompson, since he emerged as a young musician in the early days of the folk revival in the UK during the 1960s and 1970s. Early life He was born in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England, and grew up in Hampstead, North West London. His mother was an active socialist and his father, from a family of Thames lightermen, went to grammar school and became a trade unionist and a councillor for Stepney at the age of 21. Martin's father had played fiddle and guitar as a young man but Martin was unaware of this connection to his folk music heritage until much later in life. His vocal and musical training began when he became a chorister at the Queen's Chapel of The Savoy. He picked up his father's old guitar for the first time after hearing ...

Second Album (Curved Air Album)
''Second Album'' was the second album released by British rock group Curved Air. It reached No. 11 in the UK Charts on 9 October 1971, and " Back Street Luv" became a UK No. 4 chart hit on 7 August 1971. Both variations of the album cover include a rainbow, a reference to the album ''A Rainbow in Curved Air'' by Terry Riley, from which the band took their name. Background and recording The content and arrangement of the material reflected a sharp division in the band which would lead to their break-up the following year; all the songs on side A were composed by Darryl Way (with some assistance from Ian Eyre) with lyrics by Sonja Kristina, while all those on side B were composed by Francis Monkman.Joynson, Vernon (1995)''The Tapestry of Delights''. London: Borderline Books. Francis Monkman explained: "Basically Darryl and I respect each others' work, but we don't really see eye-to-eye on most things. And we never really got the co-writing thing together. I wanted to get my firs ...

Call Call Call
''Call Call Call'' (also known as ''2nd Album'') is the second studio album by South Korean singer, U;Nee. It was released on February 18, 2005, by Synnara Music. The album is considered U;Nee's best musical work, among fans and critics alike. It is currently out of print, and is considered a rare find among collectors. It is the last album to be released during her lifetime. Overview ''Call Call Call'' marked a complete transition in U;Nee's image from a dance-pop singer to a sexy R&B singer. U;Nee had plastic surgery for the album, specifically her jaw, nose and breasts. The album's music represents almost a complete genre change for U;Nee, containing songs with mostly an R&B sound, considering the ballads "아버지 (Father)" and "그날 이후 (From That Day)", the Eastern-styled song, "초대 (Invitation)", and the dance-pop song, "I Want You". Like the first album, one single was released, but this time, the single, "Call Call Call" managed to enter the top 10 of the Korean ...

Second Album Syndrome
The second (symbol: s) is the unit of time in the International System of Units (SI), historically defined as of a day – this factor derived from the division of the day first into 24 hours, then to 60 minutes and finally to 60 seconds each (24 × 60 × 60 = 86400). The current and formal definition in the International System of Units ( SI) is more precise:The second ..is defined by taking the fixed numerical value of the caesium frequency, Δ''ν''Cs, the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of the caesium 133 atom, to be when expressed in the unit Hz, which is equal to s−1. This current definition was adopted in 1967 when it became feasible to define the second based on fundamental properties of nature with caesium clocks. Because the speed of Earth's rotation varies and is slowing ever so slightly, a leap second is added at irregular intervals to civil time to keep clocks in sync with Earth's rotation. Uses Analog clocks and watches often have ...
