The Reverb Syndicate is an almost exclusively instrumental "Spy-Fi" surf band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada who have been playing since 2006. Ottawa Bluesfest is an annual outdoor music festival that takes place each July in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. While the festival's lineup historically focused on blues music at its inception, it has increasingly showcased mainstream pop, hip hop, reggae, and rock acts in recent years. Bluesfest has become the largest music festival in Canada and the second largest blues festival in North America. The ''Ottawa XPress'', or rendered as ''(x)press'' on its cover, was an alternative weekly newspaper in Ottawa, Ontario. The paper was launched in April 1993 by Jim Creskey and Ross Dickson, who both also founded ''The Hill Times''. Its original editor-in-chief was Derek Raymaker. In March 2001, the paper was sold to ''Voirs president and founder, Pierre Paquet. CKCU-FM is a Canadian community-based campus radio station, broadcasting at 93.1 FM in Ottawa, and offering live and archived on-demand audio streams from its website. The ''Ottawa Sun'' is a daily newspaper in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is published by Sun Media. It began publication in 1983 as the ''Ottawa Sunday Herald'', until it was acquired by (then) Toronto Sun Publishing Corporation in 1988. In April 2015, Sun Media papers were acquired by Postmedia. A Sunday edition of the newly named ''Ottawa Sun'' began publication on September 4, 1988 and a daily publication started on November 7, 1988.
