Jay Hunt (August 4, 1855 – November 18, 1932) was an American film director and actor. He directed nearly 70 films between 1911 and 1919. He continued his career as an actor until 1931. Lillian Hayward
Lillie Hayward (born Lillian Olenda Auen, September 12, 1891 – June 29, 1977) was an American screenwriter whose Hollywood career began during the silent era and continued well into the age of television. She wrote for more than 70 films and TV shows including the Disney film '' The Shaggy Dog'' and television series The Mickey Mouse Club and ''Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color''. She was also remembered for the films ''Her Husband's Secretary'' and '' Aloma of the South Seas'', the latter written in part with the help of her sister, actress and screenwriter Seena Owen. Lillie Hayward died in 1977 and was interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. Her husband of seventeen years, Jerry Sackheim, was also a Hollywood writer with whom she had worked on ''The Boy and the Pirates'' (1960). Gibson Gowland
Gibson Gowland (4 January 1877 – 9 September 1951) was an English film actor. Biography Gowland was born in Spennymoor, County Durham. He started work as a sailor and later became the mate on a ship. For several years from the age of 25 he went to South Africa, where he hunted for big game, prospected for diamonds and also organised a theatrical company in Johannesburg, and acted in it. He prospected in Canada, where he made his debut on the legitimate stage. Gowland went to the United States from Britain by way of Canada in 1913 where he met Beatrice Bird, also from Great Britain, whom he married. They moved to Hollywood, working as bit players. In 1914 he acted in D.W. Griffith's ''The Birth of a Nation'', followed by ''Intolerance''. In 1916, his son, actor and photographer Peter Gowland, was born. Leota Lorraine (1899–1974) was an American film actress. A leading lady and supporting player of the silent era. After the introduction of sound she generally played minor, often uncredited, parts.
