The Playhouse (radio Show)
''The Playhouse'' was a Portland, Oregon-based syndicated morning drive time radio show that debuted on February 12, 2000. It originally aired weekday mornings between 5-10am on then-flagship radio station KXJM (Jammin 107.5 FM), with the last four hours of the show being broadcast live online with fully produced video, and repeated every four hours until the next show. The show was also on at various hours in the morning on its syndicated affiliates. From its conception on February 12, 2000 to May 12, 2008 the show's flagship station was the "Original" Jammin' 95.5 KXJM (now KXTG). ''The Playhouse'' also had a nightly TV show called ''Playhouse TV'' that aired on Comcast's on-demand service in the Portland and Eugene areas. KSEQ airs a rhythmic Top 40 music format branded as Q97-1 (pronounced "Q-Ninety Seven One"). WPEI (95.9 FM) is a WEEI Sports Radio Network station serving the Portland, Maine area. The station is owned by Atlantic Coast Radio. History On July 18, 1982, WPEI signed on as WPIG with a country format and the slogan "Southern Maine's Country: FM-96 WPIG". In 1984, it became hot adult contemporary WHYR with slogans "Your Stereo", and then "R-96". In July 1990, WHYR flipped to contemporary hit radio as "96-HYR". KMME (100.5 FM) is a commercial radio station in Cottage Grove, Oregon, broadcasting to the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon area. History In 1993, KCGR was first constructed by Robert L. O'renick through his company Thornton Pfleger, Inc. to serve the city of Cottage Grove at 100.5 MHz. It was a sister station to KNND, a local AM of the same owner.
