"Still Got the Blues (For You)" is a song by Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore. It was originally released as the title track of the album ''Still Got the Blues''. The song was released as a single and reached number 31 on the UK Singles Chart in May 1990. It is the only single of Moore's solo career to chart on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, where it reached number 97 on 16 February 1991. Moore played his Les Paul Standard Guitar throughout the song. He also filmed a basic music video for the song. The song was covered by Eric Clapton on his 2013 album ''Old Sock'' as a tribute to Moore following his death in 2011. Plagiarism case On 3 December 2008 a Munich, Germany court ruled that the guitar solo on the song was plagiarized from a 1974 instrumental recording called "Nordrach" (named after Nordrach, a small river in the central Black Forest) by the German progressive rock band Jud's Gallery from Offenburg. Albert King
Albert Nelson (April 25, 1923 – December 21, 1992), known by his stage name Albert King, was an American guitarist and singer who is often regarded as one of the greatest and most influential blues guitarists of all time. He is perhaps best known for his popular and influential album ''Born Under a Bad Sign'' (1967) and its title track. He, B.B. King, and Freddie King, all unrelated, were known as the "Kings of the Blues". The left-handed King was known for his "deep, dramatic sound that was widely imitated by both blues and rock guitarists." Neil Carter (musician)
Neil Andrew Carter (born 11 May 1958) is an English musician who has worked in diverse genres throughout his career. Classically trained, he became a professional rock musician at the age of 17 and initially had his first "mainstream" experience with singer-songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan. He subsequently played guitar and keyboard for the hard rock band UFO, blues rock guitarist Gary Moore, and Wild Horses. He is credited for co-writing a number of Gary Moore's songs including the worldwide hit "Empty Rooms". At 30 he left the rock world and developed a different career as both teacher of woodwind (saxophone and clarinet) and as an ABRSM examiner. 2010 saw an unexpected return to rock with Gary Moore, playing festivals across Europe and a tour of Ukraine and Russia. Future tours and a Celtic rock album were to follow but this was curtailed by the death of Gary Moore in February 2011. Phil Lynott
Philip Parris Lynott (, ; 20 August 1949 – 4 January 1986) was an Irish singer, bassist, and songwriter. His most commercially successful group was Thin Lizzy, of which he was a founding member, the principal songwriter, lead vocalist and bassist. He was known for his distinctive plectrum-based style on the bass, and for his imaginative lyrical contributions including working class tales and numerous characters drawn from personal influences and Celtic culture. Darrin Mooney
Darrin Shane Mooney (born 26 April 1967, Merton, London) is an English session drummer, best known for his work with Primal Scream and Gary Moore. Mooney started playing at the age of 12 at school. Throughout his school years, he played in various school bands and orchestras, playing both drums and percussion. At the age of 18 Darrin went along to a NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) rehearsal in London and was inspired as he watched the others play. Bob Daisley
Robert John Daisley (born 13 February 1950) is a retired Australian bass guitarist. He has collaborated on several occasions with Ozzy Osbourne, for whom he contributed bass, backing vocals, co-production and songwriting. He has also worked with prominent rock acts including Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Gary Moore, Chicken Shack and Uriah Heep, among others.
