The Pavilion At Pan Am
The Pavilion at Pan Am, originally Pan American Arena, was a twin rink ice hockey and skating arena located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. and part of the broader Pan American Plaza, which was built in commemoration of the 1987 Pan American Games held in Indianapolis. The arena is now the largest independently own live music venue in Indianapolis operated Indy Pavilion LLC owners Cebronica Luft, Jason Jenkins and Jason Stellema. The Pavilion at Pan Am was operated by the Indiana/World Skating Academy and has one standard ice rink (NHL size) and one ice rink (Olympic Games size). The Indianapolis Inferno was a Tier III Junior B ice hockey team located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Great Lakes Junior Hockey League
The Great Lakes Junior Hockey League (GLJHL) was an American inline hockey league. Sanctioned by the AAU, the league is based in the Great Lakes region of the Midwestern United States. From 2008 until 2012, the league was a USA Hockey-sanctioned junior ice hockey league. It elected to leave USA Hockey and switch to inline in the summer of 2012. History The GLJHL joined USA Hockey for the 2008–09 season as a Tier III Junior C league. Before the season began, the Erie Lakers folded without playing any games. The league sent two teams, the Illinois Frontenacs and Chicago Huskies, to the 2009 USA Hockey Tier-III Junior Nationals. Indiana Ice
The Indiana Ice was a Tier I junior ice hockey team and member club of the United States Hockey League (USHL) that was formed in 2004 when the Danville Wings were purchased and moved from their location in Danville, Illinois, to Indianapolis, Indiana. The Ice captured the regular season division titles in the 2007–08 and 2013–14 seasons and won the 2009 and 2014 Clark Cup titles. Before the 2012–13 season, the Ice played their home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The 1987 Pan American Games, officially known as the X Pan American Games, was a major international multi-sport event held in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, on August 7–23, 1987.
