The Path Of Totality Tour
The Path of Totality Tour was a concert tour in support of Korn's tenth studio album The Path of Totality, of the same name. The tour kicked off on November 3, 2011 in Boston, Massachusetts. Supporting acts for the first North American leg of the tour were Downlink, Datsik (musician), Datsik, and Dope D.O.D. Jake Stanczak, Kill the Noise and Sluggo will each open certain dates of the second North American leg; Jonathan Davis' dubstep side project, JDevil, will perform on all dates. Downlink, JDevil, and The Dirty Youth are among the opening acts for the European leg. The tour is scheduled to continue overseas in Europe on March 12, 2012, following an appearance at the SmokeOut Festival in San Bernardino, California with Cypress Hill. ''The Path of Totality'' is the tenth studio album by American nu metal band Korn. It was released on December 2, 2011 in Europe and December 6, 2011 in the US. The album was produced by various Electronic music, electronic music producers such as Skrillex, Noisia, Excision (musician), Excision and various other Independent music, independent producers. "Get Up! (Korn song), Get Up!", is one of three tracks produced by Skrillex, and was released as a music download, digital download on May 6, 2011. "Narcissistic Cannibal" was released as the second single on October 18, 2011. Regarding the album, vocalist Jonathan Davis stated: "I want to trail-blaze. I want to change things. I want to do things we're not supposed to do. I want to create art that's different and not conform to what's going on. We didn't make a dubstep album. We made a Korn album." "Get Up!" is a song written and recorded by Korn, featuring the production of American producer Skrillex that appears on their tenth studio album, ''The Path of Totality''. It was released as the album's lead single on May 6, 2011. Since its release it has sold over 500,000 music download, downloads in the United States. "Did My Time" is a song written and recorded by American nu metal band Korn for the film, '' Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life''. It was released as a single in July 2003 in support of the film, and was later featured on the band's sixth studio album, ''Take a Look in the Mirror''. "Blind" is a song by American nu metal band Korn for their self-titled debut album. It was released as the album's first single in August 1994. Music and structure "Blind" had been written while Jonathan Davis was in Sexart before he left the band to join Korn. The song was composed entirely by Dennis Shinn. Korn's contribution came once they re-recorded the song for their debut album LP 1994. Even though the song was completed by Sexart, Korn added an extended song intro, utilizing drum cymbals, and an added small Bass-Line. Their addition acted as an intro that led into the original intro composed by Sexart. Also, Korn applied a small musical change away from Sexart's version, which landed under the vocal chorus ''"I'm so blind"'' lyric. That change didn't occur until the Korn LP was recorded.
