The Original Hits (Baccara Album)
''The Original Hits'' is a compilation album by Spanish duo Baccara released on label BMG International in 1990. ''The Original Hits'' was BMG-Ariola's first compact disc release of Baccara material and was in fact a re-issue of 1978 compilation '' The Hits Of Baccara'' (RCA PL 28344) provided with a new title and alternate artwork. ''The Hits Of Baccara'' having originally been issued in late 1978, this consequently means that ''The Original Hits'' omits recordings from the duo's third and fourth studio albums ''Colours'' (1979) and '' Bad Boys'' (1981) including single releases "Parlez-Vous Français?", "Body-Talk"/"By 1999", "Ay Ay Sailor", "Sleepy Time Toy" and "Colorado", thus creating a retrospective that only covers the first half of the original Baccara formation's recording career. Track listing # "The Devil Sent You To Lorado" (Dostal – Soja) – 4:07 # "Koochie-Koo" (Dostal – Soja) – 4:04 # "Adelita" (Traditional) – 2:31 # "Sorry, I'm A Lady" (Dostal †...

Baccara
Baccara was a female vocal duo formed in 1977 by Spanish artists Mayte Mateos (born 7 February 1951) and María Mendiola (4 April 1952 – 11 September 2021). The duo rapidly achieved international success with their debut single "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie", which reached number one across much of Europe and became the best-selling single of all-time by a female group, eventually selling more than 18 million copies worldwide. A successful follow-up single ("Sorry, I'm a Lady") and European tour led to a number of album releases, numerous television appearances and the duo's selection to represent Luxembourg in the ''Eurovision Song Contest 1978''. Despite a substantial following in Spain, Germany and Japan, by 1981 the two women's blend of disco, pop and Spanish folk music was no longer fashionable, and by 1983 Mateos and Mendiola were both working on solo projects. Achieving little success as solo artists, the two formed duos of their own: separate incarnations of the original Ba ...

Bad Boys (Baccara Album)
''Bad Boys'' is the fourth and final studio album by the original formation of Spanish duo Baccara, first released on label RCA-Victor in Germany in 1981. It contains European single release "Colorado". This is the first album to have not been produced by Rolf Soja. The album was produced by Graham Sacher in London, UK. The typical Baccara sound of early albums was gone, a more pop-rock album was the result. Also missing was the original Baccara logo that was on the three albums produced before ''Bad Boys''. This album was not a commercial success nor did it sell as much as the first three albums. This album would be the last time the original girls would record together. The rights to the RCA-Victor back catalogue are currently held by Sony BMG Music Entertainment - the original ''Bad Boys'' album in its entirety remains unreleased on compact disc. However, all tracks can be found on the 3-disc 30th Anniversary box set issued in 2007. Track listing All tracks composed by Graham S ...

Allmusic
AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. In the early 1990s, as CDs replaced LPs as the dominant format for recorded music, Erlewine purchased what he thought was a CD of early recordings by Little Richard. After buying it he discovered it was a "flaccid latter-day rehash". Frustrated with the labeling, he researched using metadata to create a music guide. In 1990, in Big Rapids, Michigan, he founded ''All Music Guide' ...

Duet
A duet is a musical composition for two performers in which the performers have equal importance to the piece, often a composition involving two singers or two pianists. It differs from a harmony, as the performers take turns performing a solo section rather than performing simultaneously. A piece performed by two pianists performing together on the same piano is a "piano duet" or " piano four hands". A piece for two pianists performing together on separate pianos is a " piano duo". The term ''duet'' is also used as a verb for the act of performing a musical duet, or colloquially as a noun to refer to the performers of a duet. A musical ensemble with more than two solo instruments or voices is called trio, quartet, quintet, sextet, septet, octet, etc. History When Mozart was young, he and his sister Marianne played a duet of his composition at a London concert in 1765. The four-hand, described as a duet, was in many of his compositions which included five sonatas; a set o ...
