The Mix (TV Series)
''The Mix'' was an Australian television series about arts, entertainment and culture. It began screening in 2014 on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. It featured profiles and stories about various entertainment topics. It was originally presented by James Valentine. Other presenters and contributors have included Zan Rowe, Myf Warhurst, Eddi Sharp, Abdul Abdullah, Eloise Fuss and Lisa Skerrett. After the final new episode in December 2020, there has only been a single episode of archival material, aired in February 2021. Australian Broadcasting Corporation
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is the national broadcaster of Australia. It is principally funded by direct grants from the Australian Government and is administered by a government-appointed board. James Valentine (journalist)
James Matthew Valentine (born 1961) is an Australian musician, and radio and television presenter. As a saxophonist he was a member of Jo Jo Zep (1982), Models (1984–87) and Absent Friends (1989–90). Biography James Matthew Valentine was born in 1961 in Ballarat. His father was a car salesman and his mother taught elocution and was a part-time radio announcer. He has two older brothers. He attended Ballarat Grammar School where he learned saxophone, he described his performances in the local area, "a really bad jazz rock fusion gig." In the early 1980s Valentine relocated to Melbourne to attend university, he later recalled "First year I spent studying, and then I started getting gigs, and I didn't pay much attention to uni after that because I wanted to be a jazz musician." Zan Rowe
Susanna "Zan" Rowe is an Australian radio and television presenter. she works for ABC digital radio station Double J. Early life Rowe grew up in Melbourne. She attended university at RMIT University, majoring in radio and cinema. Career Radio Rowe started out at SRA FM in 1996 (now SYN Radio) on a show called ''Run with the Hunted'', before moving to the Monday drive shift on 3RRR 102.7FM presenting ''Transit Lounge'' from 2002–2004. Abdul Abdullah
Abdul Abdullah (born 1986) is a Sydney-based Australian multidisciplinary artist, the younger brother of Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, also an artist. Abdul Abdullah has been a finalist several times in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes. He creates provocative works that make political statements and query identity, in particular looking at being a Muslim in Australia, and examines the themes of alienation and othering. ABC iview is a video on demand and catch-up TV service run by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Currently iview video content can only be viewed by users in Australia. As of 2016, ABC iview attracts around 50 million plays monthly and accounts for around half of the total time streamed by Australian TV video services.
