The Love In Your Eyes (Cats Album)
''The Love in Your Eyes'' is a studio album from 1974 by the Dutch pop band The Cats. Recorded in Larrabee Sound Studios with the help of backing musicians, ''Billboard'' said its "crisp pop selections" should make it a commercially successful album; they also praised its technical qualities. The ''Billboard'' reviewer remarked that the album was in the softer rock vein, and the best songs were those where the singers harmonized. They also noted that dealers should place this also in the "foreign rock bin", and if they didn't have one, they should consider starting one "with the vast amount of product coming from the continent". The Cats (Dutch Band)
The Cats were a Dutch rock band formed in Volendam in 1964. They were active (with a few interruptions) from 1964 until 1985 and had their most successful period from 1968 until 1975. Of the many hits the band had at home and abroad, the biggest one is " One Way Wind", which was released in 38 countries and a top ten number in several of them, of which it was a number one in Switzerland. In Germany it sold more than a million copies. The song has been covered by some 150 other artists. The number was written by Arnold Muhren, bass-player and chief composer. Further band members were Cees Veerman (vocals/guitar/percussion) and Piet Veerman (vocals/guitar), Theo Klouwer (drums), and Jaap Schilder (guitar) and Piet Keizer (guitar; for three years). Pop Rock
Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre with an emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than rock music. Larrabee Sound Studios is a recording studio complex in North Hollywood, California, originally established in 1969. Facilities Located at 4162 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, Larrabee has six studios, three tracking spaces, and a production/mastering suite, centered around a large, extensively-decorated atrium. Studio 1, where Jaycen Joshua is resident mix engineer, is the second-largest studio space at Larrabee, with a 65-square-meter live room. An 80-channel Solid State Logic 9098 XL K-series console is the hub of this studio's 40-square-meter control room. Studio 2, the home studio of mix engineer Manny Marroquin, has similar proportions and a similar console to Studio 1.
