The Lost Tapes (Sugababes Album)
''The Lost Tapes'' is the eighth studio album by British girl group Sugababes and their first independent release. While work for the album dates back to 2012 when the original lineup reunited and concluded in 2014, the album remained unreleased until 24 December 2022. ''The Lost Tapes'' is the second Sugababes album to feature the original lineup after 2000's ''One Touch''. The band announced the surprise release on social media, stating "We wrote this album almost 8 years ago and for various reasons it didn't get an official release, so it's with great pride that ''The Lost Tapes'' is available now on all streaming platforms". Sugababes
Sugababes are a British girl group composed of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy. The lineup changed three times before returning to the original lineup in 2011. Formed in 1998 by All Saints manager Ron Tom, Sugababes released their debut album '' One Touch'' through London Records in November 2000, which achieved moderate success and produced the top-ten single " Overload". In 2001, Donaghy departed the group and was replaced by Heidi Range. With Range's introduction, the group experienced a higher level of commercial success and went on to release three multi-platinum albums: ''Angels with Dirty Faces'' (2002), '' Three'' (2003) and '' Taller in More Ways'' (2005). Tricia Marie "Shaznay" Lewis (born 14 October 1975) is an English singer, songwriter and a member of the girl group All Saints. She has co-written most of the group's songs, including number one singles: "Bootie Call", "Pure Shores" and international hit single " Never Ever". Seton Daunt
Seton Daunt is an English guitar player and songwriter, best known as lead guitarist for the British rock band Fiction Plane. Guitarist At 19 years old, Daunt met Dan Brown, who introduced him to Santa's Boyfriend. The band was playing the club circuit in London, and he was invited to join them for a few songs. He joined the band several years later. In 1998, Daunt was a member of the London-based indie band Bok, which featured Matt Crutchlow (guitar, vocals), Andrew Holdsworth (bass, keyboards), and Richard Young (drums). Felix Howard
Felix Howard (born January 14, 1973) is a songwriter, record producer, A&R and publisher. A former model as a child, Howard was photographed by Jamie Morgan and styled by the world renowned Ray Petri for the cover of ''The Face'' magazine. In 1987, he was in the Madonna video " Open Your Heart", and also appeared in the Mantronix video for "Got to Have Your Love". His songwriting credits include working alongside Amy Winehouse, Sia, The Sugababes among many others. Wayne Anthony Hector is a British songwriter who is best known for his work with pop artists such as Nicki Minaj, One Direction, the Wanted, Toše Proeski and Olly Murs. Paul Simm is an English musician, composer and record producer, known for his work with Amy Winehouse, the Sugababes and Neneh Cherry. Iain James
Iain James Farquharson, more commonly known as Iain James or Sparx, is a British singer, songwriter and vocal producer from Bristol, but based in London. "Flatline" is a song by English girl group, "Mutya Keisha Siobhan", the original line up of the Sugababes. Written by the trio alongside British artist Dev Hynes, who also produced it, it was released via digital retailers on 6 September 2013 by Polydor Records, who signed the band in 2012. It is a pop and R&B song in which the drums and the male backing vocals get gradually stronger until a climactic part. Lyrically, it addresses the deterioration of a relationship. Upon its release, "Flatline" received acclaim from music journalists, who favoured its production and the singers' vocal harmonies. Commercially, the song charted at number 50 on the UK Singles Chart, however, it reached number 14 in Ireland.
