Leftovers are surplus foods remaining unconsumed at the end of a meal, which may be put in containers with the intention of eating later. Inedible remains like bones are considered ''waste'', not leftovers. Depending on the situation, the amount of food, and the type of food, leftovers may be saved or thrown away. The use of leftovers depends on where the meal was eaten, the preferences of the diner, and the local culture. Leftovers from meals at home are often eaten later. This is facilitated by the private environment and convenience of airtight containers and refrigeration. The Leftovers (American Band)
The Leftovers were an American pop punk band from Portland, Maine, made up of Kurt Baker (bass, vocals), Andrew Rice (guitar, vocals), Matt Anderson (guitar, vocals), and Adam Woronoff (drums). History The band formed in 2002, and gained a following by releasing an E.P. entitled ''Mitton Street Special''. Two years later they released their first full-length album, 2004's ''Stop, Drop, Rock n Roll''. In 2007 the band released their third album ''On the Move''. The album was recorded at Butch Vig's Smart Studios and was produced by Ben Weasel. The band has recently finished recording their upcoming album ''Eager To Please'', due out on Oglio Records in the spring of 2009. To promote the album the band went on a Summer tour where they opened for Bowling For Soup and Teen Idols. The Leftovers is an Australian punk rock band which formed in 1976 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Original band members were Warren Lamond on vocals, Ed Wreckage on guitar, Jim Shoebridge on guitar, Glenn Smith on bass guitar and Graeme ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson on drums.(1987) Album notes for At The Solicitor's Request, (insert) Rubber Records. Knut (band)
Knut (Russian word for whip, pronounced ''cnoot'') were a mathcore/sludge metal band from Geneva, Switzerland, formed in 1994. They started by playing in the local underground squat scene, publishing a couple of seven-inch releases as well as their first CD in 1997, titled ''Leftovers''. This early material was put out on Snuff Records, which was run by Roderic Mounir and Didier Séverin. In 1998, Knut released their first full-length, ''Bastardiser'', which showcased a sharper and more focused aggression, combining heavily distorted guitars, odd-time signatures, use of discordance and repetition, and harsh vocals. BoDeans is an American rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin. BoDeans came to prominence in the 1980s. The band's sound encompasses multiple rock genres, including roots rock, heartland rock, and alternative rock. Crease (band)
Crease is an American hard rock band that formed in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1994. Three quarters of the band (Kelly Meister and brothers Fritz & Eric Dorigo) originally came from the Alt-Thrash band XSF (Excessive), which formed late in 1985. When their bass player quit the band to get married, friend of the band, Greg Gershengorn was brought in to replace him. Once a few shows that were previously booked as Excessive were completed, the band changed their name to Crease and started writing all new material.
