''The Law of Life'' (Russian: ''Закон жизни'') is a 1940 Soviet drama film directed by Boris Ivanov (director), Boris Ivanov and Aleksandr Stolper and starring Daniil Sagal, Aleksandr Lukyanov and Oswald Glazunov. Aleksandr Stolper
Aleksandr Borisovich Stolper (russian: Александр Борисович Столпер; 12 August 1907, in Dvinsk (now Daugavpils) – 12 January 1979, in Moscow) was a Soviet film director and screenwriter. He directed 14 films between 1940 and 1977. Aleksandr Stolper was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1949 and 1951 and received the honorary title People's Artist of the USSR in 1977. Grigory Oyzerovich Spiegel (russian: Григо́рий О́йзерович Шпи́гель; 24 July 1914 — 28 April 1981) was a Soviet and Russian actor and voice actor. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1974). Biography He worked as a pleater at a dye factory in Leningrad. He studied at the directing department of the Central School of amateur theater in Moscow. In 1940 he graduated from an acting school at the Mosfilm. He worked as a National Film Actors' Theatre. He took part in voicing cartoon characters, known for his voice being unusually high pitched and sonorous for a man. Death Died April 28, 1981. He was buried in Moscow at the Vvedenskoye Cemetery. Anna Pavlovna Pavlova (born Anna Matveyevna Pavlova; – 23 January 1931) was a Russian prima ballerina.
