''The Kids Are Alright'' is the debut studio album by American Contemporary R&B, R&B duo Chloe x Halle. It was released on March 23, 2018, by Beyoncé's record label Parkwood Entertainment. The album features guest collaborations from rappers GoldLink, Kari Faux and Joey Badass, Joey Bada$$. The album earned them their first two career Grammy Award nominations for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Best New Artist for the 61st Grammy Awards. The album is primarily a R&B album, although it features elements of Trap music (hip hop), trap. The album was supported by the title track, released as the lead single on January 3, 2018. Chloe x Halle are an Contemporary R&B, R&B duo composed of sisters Chloe Bailey, Chloe and Halle Bailey. ''Sugar Symphony'' is the debut extended play (EP) by American recording duo Chloe x Halle. It was released under Parkwood Entertainment, under exclusive license to Columbia Records, on April 29, 2016. The EP was their first official release since being signed by Beyoncé. Trap Music (hip Hop)
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence.
