The Joke's On Us
''The Joke's On Us!'' is a Canadian game show that aired from September 1983 to 1984. It was hosted by Monty Hall, joined by Sylvie Garant as assistant very early on in the run, with Sandy Hoyt as the show's announcer. Taped at Showline Milton Stage in Toronto, Ontario in association with the Global Television Network, the show was created and produced by two American game show veterans, Willie Stein and Nat Ligerman. Each episode featured a rotating panel of four comedians, which included such famous personalities of the day as Alan Thicke, Nipsey Russell, Arte Johnson and Jo Anne Worley. Rules The show pitted two contestants against each other. Each took turns listening to a joke told by one member of the panel, while the other panel members each delivered a different punchline to the joke. The contestant had to determine which of the punchlines was the original punchline to the joke; if correct, that player scored; otherwise, the points went to his/her opponent. Values were 5 ...

Willie Stein
Willie Stein was an American television producer and songwriter. In 1950, Stein and Milton DeLugg cowrote the song " Orange Colored Sky", which became a hit for Nat King Cole, and later his daughter Natalie. Among his television productions were '' To Tell the Truth'', ''Sale of the Century'', '' Spin-Off'', '' The $128,000 Question'' and ''The David Letterman Show'', the NBC daytime series. In 1979, he was the producer of ''Say Powww'', TV's original interactive game show, directed by Sidney M. Cohen in Los Angeles. They later co-created ''Thrill of a Lifetime'', one of TV's first reality shows. Together with veteran game show writer Nat Ligerman, Stein co-created and co-produced the Canadian comedy game ''The Joke's on Us'', which was hosted by Ligerman's longtime boss, Monty Hall. Card Sharks
''Card Sharks'' is an American television game show. It was created by Chester Feldman for Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions. The game features two contestants who attempt to predict the outcome of survey questions to gain control of a row of oversized playing cards, then determine whether the next card drawn is higher or lower. The title ''Card Sharks'' is a play on the term "card sharp", a person skilled at card games. The concept has been made into a series four separate times since its debut in 1978, and also appeared as part of CBS's '' Gameshow Marathon''. The show originally ran on NBC from 1978 to 1981 with Jim Perry hosting. The show returned and ran from 1986 to 1989 on CBS with Bob Eubanks as host, accompanied by a syndication production with Bill Rafferty. Gene Wood was the announcer in both the 1970s and 1980s. GameTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment. It currently broadcasts a mixture of game shows, reality competition series, and films. The channel was first launched in 2005 under the ownership of Stuart Media Group as Casino and Gaming Television (CGTV), which primarily focused on sports betting and televised poker. Larry Tanenbaum's Insight Sports served as the channel's operating partner. Chuck Barris
Charles Hirsch Barris (June 3, 1929 – March 21, 2017) was an American game show creator, producer, and host. Barris was known for hosting ''The Gong Show'' and creating ''The Dating Game'' and ''The Newlywed Game''. He was also a songwriter who wrote " Palisades Park", recorded by Freddy Cannon and also recorded by Ramones.
