''The Iron Duke'' is a pulp fiction, pre-World War II adventure story written by L. Ron Hubbard. It was first published in the July 1940 issue of the pulp fiction magazine "Five-Novels Monthly". Retrieved 05-02-2016. Plot introduction The story revolves around Blacky Lee, an American arms merchant who is being pursued by pre-World War II Nazis. Chased across Europe, he makes his way to the kingdom of Aldoria where he impersonates the country's archduke. He is the spitting image of the archduke and has previously studied his background, voice, and mannerisms. Immediately he is caught in political intrigue, romance, and danger. Inevitably, Blacky is found out and jailed, after which the twists and turns come about as he navigates the country's political landscape. ...

Pulp Magazine
Pulp magazines (also referred to as "the pulps") were inexpensive fiction magazines that were published from 1896 to the late 1950s. The term "pulp" derives from the cheap wood pulp paper on which the magazines were printed. In contrast, magazines printed on higher-quality paper were called "glossies" or "slicks". The typical pulp magazine had 128 pages; it was wide by high, and thick, with ragged, untrimmed edges. The pulps gave rise to the term pulp fiction in reference to run-of-the-mill, low-quality literature. Pulps were the successors to the penny dreadfuls, dime novels, and short-fiction magazines of the 19th century. Although many respected writers wrote for pulps, the magazines were best known for their lurid, exploitative, and sensational subject matter, even though this was but a small part of what existed in the pulps. Galaxy Press
Galaxy Press is a trade name set up to publish and promote the fiction works of L. Ron Hubbard, and the anthologies of the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest. The company was separated from Bridge Publications in the early 2000s, and is a business name of Author Services Inc. which is, in turn, completely owned by the Church of Spiritual Technology. Bridge now focuses solely on Hubbard's Scientology and nonfiction works. They published ''The Kingslayer'' as an audio-book in 2003 as well as ''L. Ron Hubbard Master Story-Teller'', a coffee-table book by William J. Widder. In 2004 they published a new edition of '' To the Stars'' as well as in audio-book form. In 2008, they announced they would be releasing eighty volumes containing the works Hubbard wrote for pulp magazines, at the rate of four titles every four or five months. Jim Meskimen
James Ross Meskimen (born September 10, 1959) is an American actor, comedian and impressionist, who is best known for his voice-over work in video games. Early life James Ross Meskimen was born in Santa Monica, California on September 10, 1959, the son of Marion Ross and Freeman Meskimen. Career Meskimen portrayed the father of Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen's characters in ''Our Lips Are Sealed''. He portrayed Officer Wholihan in ''How the Grinch Stole Christmas''. He voices Thom Cat, Neighbor John, and Stumpy in the ''Thom Cat'' short film on ''Random! Cartoons''.
