The Inventor (2023 Film)
''The Inventor'' is a 2023 stop-motion /2D animation biographical film about Leonardo da Vinci, written, produced and directed by Jim Capobianco and co-directed by Pierre-Luc Granjon. The voice cast includes Stephen Fry, Marion Cotillard, Daisy Ridley, and Matt Berry. ''The Inventor'' is a co-production between the United States, France, and Ireland. The film had its world premiere in official competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on 12 June 2023. Blue Fox Entertainment released the film in the United States on 15 September 2023, while KMBO released the film theatrically in France on 31 January 2024. Plot The film starts off in Rome, Italy 1516, where Leonardo da Vinci is using a 'telescope', made out of a mirror contraption, to examine the Moon's features in order to find if there was indeed life and seas on its surface. Jim Capobianco
Jim Capobianco (born 1969) is an American film director, animator and screenwriter. He has worked as a story artist and storyboard artist for films such as '' The Lion King'' (1994), ''Hunchback of Notre Dame'' (1996), '' A Bug's Life'' (1998), '' Toy Story 2'' (1999), ''Monsters, Inc.'' (2001), ''Finding Nemo'' (2003), '' Up'' (2009), ''Inside Out'' (2015), and '' Finding Dory'' (2016). In 2008, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for '' Ratatouille'' (2007). Natalie Palamides (born January 6, 1990) is an American actress, comedian and writer. Early life As a young child living outside Pittsburgh, Palamides made comedic home videos in her backyard. She would do unit of action, bits in the corridors at school. Disney productions and the ''Austin Powers'' movie series were early influences. Studying at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Palamides was inspired by the European clown tradition that her theater professor introduced her to. Henry VIII
Henry VIII (28 June 149128 January 1547) was King of England from 22 April 1509 until his death in 1547. Death (personification)
Death is frequently imagined as a personified force. In some mythologies, a character known as the Grim Reaper (usually depicted as a berobed skeleton wielding a scythe) causes the victim's death by coming to collect that person's soul. Francesco Melzi
Francesco Melzi, or Francesco de Melzi (1491–1570), was an Italian painter born into a family of the Milanese nobility in Lombardy. He became a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci and remained as his closest professional assistant throughout his career. Amboise (; ) is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France. Today a small market town, it was once home of the French royal court.
