The Intruder (1975 Film)
''The Intruder'' is a 1975 American horror film written and directed by Chris Robinson and starring Mickey Rooney, Ted Cassidy, and Yvonne De Carlo. Its plot follows a group of people who are stalked on an island by a killer while searching for gold. The film was shelved by its distribution company in 1975, never receiving a theatrical or home video release, and was thought to be a lost film. In 2017, it was announced that a print of the film had been discovered. The film had its first release on Blu-ray by Garagehouse Pictures on August 1, 2017. Chris Robinson (actor)
Chris Robinson (born November 5, 1938) is an American actor, screenwriter, and film director, sometimes credited as Christopher Robinson. Career Robinson began his career as an actor in the 1950s. Robinson was a young adult actor and stunt man and appeared in such films of the 1950s as ''Diary of a High School Bride'' and '' Beast from Haunted Cave''. In the 1960s, he was cast as Flight Engineer and top turret gunner Sgt. Sandy Komansky on ABC's ''Twelve O'Clock High'' in the last two seasons. In 1972, he got the lead as a fanatical snakecharmer in the horror movie, ''Stanley''. Robinson played Rick Webber #2 on '' General Hospital'' from 1978 to 1986 where he was involved in a triangle with his wife Lesley Webber and the married Monica Quartermaine. Following this role, he joined '' Another World'' in late 1987 where he played the role of Jason Frame and was reunited with Denise Alexander who had played Lesley on "GH". Mickey Rooney
Mickey Rooney (born Joseph Yule Jr.; other pseudonym Mickey Maguire; September 23, 1920 – April 6, 2014) was an American actor. In a career spanning nine decades, he appeared in more than 300 films and was among the last surviving stars of the silent-film era. He was the top box-office attraction from 1939 to 1941, and one of the best-paid actors of that era. At the height of a career marked by declines and comebacks, Rooney performed the role of Andy Hardy in a series of 16 films in the 1930s and 1940s that epitomized mainstream America's self-image. At the peak of his career between ages 15 and 25, he made 43 films, and was one of MGM's most consistently successful actors. Yvonne De Carlo
Margaret Yvonne Middleton (September 1, 1922January 8, 2007), known professionally as Yvonne De Carlo, was a Canadian-American actress, dancer and singer. She became a Hollywood film star in the 1940s and 1950s, made several recordings, and later acted on television and stage. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, De Carlo was enrolled by her mother in a local dance school when she was three. By the early 1940s, she and her mother had moved to Los Angeles, where De Carlo participated in beauty contests and worked as a dancer in nightclubs. She began working in motion pictures in 1941, in short subjects. She sang "The Lamp of Memory" in a three-minute Soundies musical and in 1942 signed a three-year contract with Paramount Pictures, where she was given uncredited bit parts in important films. Theodore Crawford Cassidy (July 31, 1932 – January 16, 1979) was an American actor noted for his tall stature at and deep voice. He tended to play unusual characters in offbeat or science-fiction series such as ''Star Trek'' and ''I Dream of Jeannie'', and played Lurch on ''The Addams Family'' in the mid-1960s. He also narrated ''The Incredible Hulk'' TV series and voiced The Hulk in the show’s first 2 seasons. A lost film is a feature or short film that no longer exists in any studio archive, private collection, public archive or the U.S. Library of Congress. Conditions During most of the 20th century, U.S. copyright law required at least one copy of every American film to be deposited at the Library of Congress at the time of copyright registration, but the Librarian of Congress was not required to retain those copies: "Under the provisions of the act of March 4, 1909, authority is granted for the return to the claimant of copyright of such copyright deposits as are not required by the Library." The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. It is designed to supersede the DVD format, and capable of storing several hours of high-definition video (HDTV 720p and 1080p).
