The following is a list of fictional criminal and terrorist organizations that have been published by DC Comics and their imprints. 0-9 100 Originally based in Metropolis, the 100 kept a firm grip on the city's criminal underworld for years, indulging in crimes such as drug trafficking and racketeering. Their first appearance was in ''Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane'' #105. A recent retcon in ''Superman'' #665 (September 2007) shows that during Superman's early years in Metropolis, the 100 was a smaller organization called the 10 with ties to Intergang. 1,000 The former Director of the 1,000 was a US senator named Henry Ballard who shepherded the organization's new direction and goals. Under Director Ballard, the 100 changed its name to the 1,000, attempting to expand their reach to even the Oval Office with Director Ballard as the presidential candidate. "The Hybrid" is the second episode of the third season of The CW television series, ''The Vampire Diaries'' and the 46th episode of the series overall. It originally aired on September 22, 2011. The episode was written by Al Septien and Turi Meyer and directed by Joshua Butler. Plot Elena (Nina Dobrev) asks Damon (Ian Somerhalder) what he knows about Stefan (Paul Wesley) but Damon tells her that Stefan is gone. Elena tries to convince him that since Stefan called her is a sign that he is not gone. When Damon refuses to help her, she goes to Alaric ( Matt Davis) and she finds out what Stefan and Klaus ( Joseph Morgan) are doing; tracking werewolves. Carol (Susan Walters) puts vervain into Tyler's (Michael Trevino) coffee to test if he is a vampire and she is relieved when she sees that it does not affect him. ''The Hybrid'' (filmed as ''Scintilla'') is a 2014 British science fiction horror film directed by Billy O'Brien. It stars John Lynch as a mercenary who must lead his team to an Eastern European bunker and infiltrate it. There, he finds a scientist has created a human-alien hybrid. It premiered at Fantasporto and had its UK premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Plot Jim Powell, a mercenary, is released from prison when a corporation wants to hire him. He is to accompany a scientist, Dr. Lyla Healy, to a former Soviet lab now occupied by a militia and recover the remaining assets. Powell reforms his team, including soldiers Steinmann, Mason, and Corry, and engineers Harris and Williams.
