Developed as a spin-off of '' Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County'', the series aired six seasons and focused on the personal and professional lives of several young women and men residing in Los Angeles, California. Its premise was conceived by Adam DiVello, while Liz Gateley and Sean Travis served as executive producers. The series originally focused on Lauren Conrad, who appeared in its predecessor, as she pursued a career in the fashion industry. Bel Air (or Bel-Air) is a residential neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles, California, in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains. Founded in 1923, it is the home of the Hannah Carter Japanese Garden and the American Jewish University. History The community was founded in 1923 by Alphonzo Bell. The Hills is a planned community and census-designated place (CDP) in Bedminster and Bernards townships, Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census. The community is in northern Somerset County, in the southeast corner of Bedminster Township and the western corner of Bernards Township.
