Jealous over her husband's friendship with his female patients, Mrs. Allison fails to deliver a message from a patient that nearly results in the death of the patient's child. Mrs. Allison pleads for forgiveness. On learning that she is pregnant, Dr. Allison does forgive her. However, the cycle of jealousy repeats itself. Bessie Barriscale
Bessie Barriscale (born Elizabeth Barry Scale, June 9, 1884June 30, 1965) was an American actress who gained fame on the stage and in silent films. Early life Barriscale was born Elizabeth Barry Scale in Hoboken, New Jersey, to Irish immigrants from County Cork. Her father came to the United States with a London company that presented ''The Lights of London''. Her cousins were actresses Edith and Mabel Taliaferro. At age 5 she debuted on stage with James A. Hearn. Career As a young woman, Barriscale was the Proctor Stock Company's ingenue at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in New York, after which she portrayed Madge in ''In Old Kentucky'' for two years. In 1902, she married actor Sumner Gard. She did not tell her parents until January 1, 1903. That was followed by two years as Lovey Mary in ''Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch''. Triangle Film Corporation (also known as Triangle Motion Picture Company) was a major American motion-picture studio, founded in July 1915 in Culver City, California and terminated 7 years later in 1922. Lola May (born May Purman; 1889–1971) was an American silent film and stage actress. Life May was born in North Dakota. She was a stage actress and appeared in seven films during the silent era including the historical drama ''The Beggar of Cawnpore''. She appeared in the 1908-1909 Broadway hit ''A Gentleman from Mississippi''. Her other Broadway plays included ''The Lure'' (1913), ''Just Like John'' (1912), and ''An Old New Yorker'' (1911). Beginning in November 1913, May faced a lawsuit from Marie Crandell, who said that her estranged husband, Derby Crandell, had bought gifts for May and had dined with her. Mrs. Crandell said "My husband was a model husband and we were very happy until this other woman came between us." The suit asked for $50,000 damages.
