''The Glass Mountain'' (Swedish: ''Glasberget'') is a 1953 Swedish drama film directed by Gustaf Molander and starring Hasse Ekman, Eva Henning and Gunn Wållgren.Wallengren p.226 It was shot at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director P.A. Lundgren. Gustaf Molander
Gustaf Harald August Molander (18 November 1888 – 19 June 1973) was a Sweden, Swedish actor and film director. His parents were director Harald Molander, Sr. (1858–1900) and singer and actress Lydia Molander, ''née'' Wessler, and his brother was the director Olof Molander (1892–1966). He was the father of director and producer Harald Molander from his first marriage to actress Karin Molander and father to actor Jan Molander from his second marriage to Elsa Fahlberg (1892–1977). Gustaf Molander was born in Helsinki, Helsingfors (now Helsinki) in the Grand Duchy of Finland (in the Russian Empire), where his father was working at the Swedish Theatre. He studied in the school of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm 1907–1909, acted at the Swedish theatre in Helsingfors 1909–1913, and then at the Royal Dramatic Theatre from 1913 to 1926. Gunnar Björnstrand
Knut Gunnar Johanson (13 November 1909 – 24 May 1986) was a Swedish actor known for his frequent work with writer and director Ingmar Bergman. Biography Björnstrand was born Knut Gunnar Johanson in Stockholm as son of actor Oscar Johanson and Ella Mauléon. After his education at the Royal Dramatic Theatre's acting school, he made several appearances in theatre, film and radio. Björnstrand's first collaboration with Ingmar Bergman was the 1941 theatre production of August Strindberg's ''The Ghost Sonata''. His first major film role was in Hampe Faustman's ''Natt i hamn'' in 1943. After signing a contract with Svensk Filmindustri, he was offered mainly parts in comedies, including Bergman's ''Smiles of a Summer Night'' (1955). In 1957, however, he appeared in two dramatic roles for Bergman, in ''The Seventh Seal'' and '' Wild Strawberries''. Gunvor Pontén
Gunvor Margareta Pontén (11 February 1929 – 16 February 2023) was a Swedish actress who graduated from Dramatens elevskola in 1954. She appeared in over 50 films and television shows starting in 1949. She starred in the film ''Leva på 'Hoppet''', which won the Silver Bear (Comedies) award at the 1st Berlin International Film Festival. Gunvor Pontén was the daughter of Ruben Pontén and Dagny Carlqvist. She was also a cousin of fashion designer Gunilla Pontén and actor Tomas Pontén. After graduating in 1948 she started acting school at Terserus teaterskola 1948–1950, and Dramatens elevskola 1951–1954. She worked within the field of acting at Stadsteatern, Folkteatern in Gothenburg and Oscarsteatern. Pontén died on 16 February 2023, at the age of 94. Sten Lindén
The STEN (or Sten gun) is a family of British submachine guns chambered in 9×19mm which were used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II and the Korean War. They had a simple design and very low production cost, making them effective insurgency weapons for resistance groups, and they continue to see usage to this day by irregular military forces. The Sten served as the basis for the Sterling submachine gun, which replaced the Sten in British service until the 1990s, when it, and all other submachine guns, were replaced by the SA80. The Sten is a select fire, blowback-operated weapon which mounts its magazine on the left. Sten is an acronym, from the names of the weapon's chief designers, Major Reginald V. Shepherd and Harold J. Turpin, and "En" for the Enfield factory.
