Ragnar Bragason
Ragnar Bragason (born 15 September 1971) is an Icelandic film director, screenwriter and producer. Life and career Droplaug was born in Súðavík, Iceland. He is best known for his films '' Börn'' (''Children'') and ''Foreldrar'' (''Parents''), both Edda Award winners, and the popular TV series ''Næturvaktin'' (''The Night Shift''), ''Dagvaktin'' (''The Day Shift''), and ''Fangavaktin'' (''The Prison Shift''). Ragnar grew up in the village of Súðavík, in a family of fishermen and farmers. He got his start making short videos in college. After directing many music videos, shorts and documentaries, he released his first feature-film ''Fíaskó'' (''Fiasco'') in 2000. In his earlier work he used traditional ways of writing and directing, but more recently Ragnar has followed methods similar to those of Mike Leigh and John Cassavetes of working with his actors to create characters and screenplays through improvisation. Sigrún Edda Björnsdóttir (born 30 August 1958) is an Icelandic actress and author. Early life Sigrún was born in Reykjavík, Iceland to parents Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir, actress and Björn Björnsson, flight mechanic. Michal (; he, מיכל , gr, Μιχάλ) was, according to the first Book of Samuel, a princess of the United Kingdom of Israel; the younger daughter of King Saul, she was the first wife of David (), who later became king, first of Judah, then of all Israel. Mugison
Örn Elías Guðmundsson, known professionally as Mugison (born 4 September 1976), is an Icelandic musician. Early life In 1977, Guðmundsson and his family moved from Reykjavík to Ísafjörður. In 1982, his family moved from Iceland to Cape Verde in Northwest Africa. His father was there as a part of a volunteer program teaching locals how to fish. Guðmundsson spent his childhood in Cabo Verde owning various pet monkeys and swimming as a pastime. He did not start school until the age of nine. From the age of 10 to 14, he lived in and around many parts of Reykjavík. At 14, he moved to Hrísey. During the winter, he was sent to a boarding school from age of 14 to 17. The Edda Award is an accolade bestowed annually by the Icelandic Film and Television Academy, and is the most prominent film and television award in Iceland, awarded annually in February.
