The Flesh And Blood Show
''The Flesh and Blood Show'' is a 1972 British slasher film directed and produced by Pete Walker, and starring Ray Brooks, Jenny Hanley, and Luan Peters. It follows a group of actors being stalked and murdered by an unseen assailant while rehearsing a play at a derelict seaside theatre. Originally released in the United Kingdom September 1972 and featuring an ending sequence shot in 3-D, film achieved a minor cult following in the years since its release. Plot Actresses and roommates Carol Edwards and Jane Pruitt are among a group of unemployed actors who are assembled by an anonymous producer to appear in a stage play titled ''The Flesh and Blood Show''. The performers arrive at the Dome Theatre, a dreary abandoned theatre on a seaside pier, where they are scheduled to begin rehearsals. Pete Walker (born 4 July 1939) is an English film director, writer, and producer, specializing in horror and sexploitation films, frequently combining the two. Biography Walker was born on 4 July 1939 in Brighton, England, the son of a stand-up comic Syd Walker and a showgirl mother. He began his performing career as a stand-up comic while a teenager, but quit at age 19. Walker made films such as ''Die Screaming, Marianne'', ''The Flesh and Blood Show'', ''House of Whipcord'', '' Frightmare'', ''House of Mortal Sin'', '' Schizo'', '' The Comeback'', and ''House of the Long Shadows''. Pavilion Theatre, Cromer Pier
The Pavilion Theatre is located on Cromer Pier in Cromer, Norfolk. Originally a bandstand when the pier opened, it was converted into an enclosed pavilion in 1905. History The pier as it is known today was opened in 1901. To celebrate its official opening The Blue Viennese Band played in an open bandstand. In 1905 the bandstand was covered to form an enclosed pavilion and the following season the first ‘concert parties’ were performed. Throughout the 20s and 30s the Cromer Protection Commission toured the South Coast looking at potential shows. In 1936 one of the theatres most famous shows appeared-Ronnie Brandons ''Out of the Blue''. At the outbreak of World War II the Royal Engineers removed the middle section of the pier and shows ceased for the rest of the war. Michael Sydney Knowles (born 26 April 1937) is a British actor and scriptwriter who is best known for his roles in BBC sitcoms written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft.
