The Flash (season 8)
The eighth season of the American superhero television series ''The Flash'', which is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, premiered on The CW on November 16, 2021. It is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe, and is a spin-off of ''Arrow''. The season is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Eric Wallace serving as showrunner. The season was ordered on February 3, 2021. Filming began that August and concluded the following April. Grant Gustin stars as Barry, with principal cast members Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, Brandon McKnight, and Jesse L. Martin also returning from previous seasons. This is the last season to feature Martin as a series regular. Thomas Grant Gustin (born January 14, 1990) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his roles as Barry Allen (Arrowverse), Barry Allen / The Flash on The CW series ''The Flash (2014 TV series), The Flash'' as part of the Arrowverse, and as Sebastian Smythe on the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox series ''Glee (TV series), Glee''. Early life Thomas Grant Gustin was born on January 14, 1990, in Norfolk, Virginia. He is the son of Tina Haney, a pediatric nurse, and Thomas Gustin, a college professor. The Royal Flush Gang is a group of supervillains appearing in DC Comics. The group, which debuted in ''Justice League of America'' #43 (March 1966), use a playing card theme. Central City is a fictional American city appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. It is the home of the Silver Age version of the Flash ( Barry Allen), and first appeared in ''Showcase'' #4 in September–October 1956.
