The Fabulous Voyage Of The Angel
''The Fabulous Voyage of the Angel'' (french: Le fabuleux voyage de l'ange) is a Canadian fantasy comedy film, directed by Jean Pierre Lefebvre and released in 1991. The film stars Daniel Lavoie as Francis, a taxi driver and comic book artist who begins drawing a fantastical comic series about an intergalactic taxi driver in outer space, only to find that the stories he imagines for his comic strip start to materialize in real life. The film also stars Geneviève Grandbois as Francis's daughter Ève, and Marcel Sabourin as his brother Rival. Lavoie, a prominent singer-songwriter prior to his acting role in the film, also composed the music. Lavoie and Lefebvre received a Genie Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 12th Genie Awards, for "Quand tu partiras"."Genie candidates announced". Jean Pierre Lefebvre
Jean Pierre Lefebvre (; born 17 August 1941) is a Canadian filmmaker. He is widely admired as "the godfather of independent Canadian cinema," particularly among young, independent filmmakers. Biography Jean Pierre Lefebvre studied literature at the University of Montréal and taught for two years at the Jesuit-run Loyola College in Montreal (now part of Concordia University). He began writing as a film critic, first for ''Quartier Latin'', then for ''Séquences'' and '' Objectif''. He directed his first film, a short drama, then three independent features. He joined the National Film Board of Canada and made two films, including the 1968 feature '' My Friend Pierrette (Mon amie Pierrette)'', co-starring Raôul Duguay and produced by Clément Perron. Daniel Lavoie (; born Joseph-Hubert-Gérald Lavoie on March 17, 1949) is a Canadian singer–songwriter, actor, producer, poet, and radio host, known for his song " Ils s'aiment" and the role of Frollo in musical ''Notre-Dame de Paris''. He releases albums and performs on stage in Canada and France and tours in Canada and Europe. Early life Daniel Lavoie was born in Dunrea, Manitoba on March 17, 1949.
